Tooth enamel discoloration is fairly common. There are several things that can cause tooth stains, affecting the color and overall appearance of your teeth. From the things that you eat, to your daily hygiene habits, to even your age, there are so many factors to keep track of. If you are like many other people who are interested in improving the appearance of their smile by whitening your teeth, then our Ballantyne dentist here at Schramm Dentistry can provide you with a professional treatment that can successfully lift and separate tooth enamel stains to improve your smile’s appearance.
People who are interested in whitening their teeth are probably aware of what teeth whitening kits and other products are on the market. Toothpaste, mouthwash, and other common hygiene products can help to prevent surface stains or get rid of recent ones. But if you are looking for a more drastic change, then toothpaste or mouthwash will not be able to provide that for you. There are also over-the-counter whitening kits and gel strips, but many people experience adverse side effects such as sensitivity, discomfort, or even pain, and uneven results. To avoid these negative possibilities, your best bet is to see a dentist in order to have your teeth professionally whitened instead. Having your teeth professionally whitened is pain-free, and it is also guaranteed. Here at Schramm Dentistry, our Ballantyne dentist will be able to work with you in order to have more control over your results and get the smile you’ve always wanted.
Once you’re here at our offices, our Ballantyne dentist will be able to pinpoint exactly what type of stains your teeth have and determine the exact amount of whitening agent that you’ll need to see the results that you want. Charlotte Invisalign is a great way for those seeking teeth alignment without having traditional braces put in. Invisalign moves the teeth gently in place and doesn’t use any unsightly hardware and wires such as the one that traditional braces use. Invisalign is a series of clear plastic aligners that are fitted to the patient’s teeth using a computer generated layout of the oral structure that is created in our offices. After computer generation, we can then create the series of aligners that will be used over the course of treatment. This process takes about a year, or the same amount of time as regular braces over a period of a year or more.
At the beginning of the treatment process, the aligners are created and every two weeks a new set of aligners is given. Over time and in between sets, the teeth are moved gently into place using the Invisalign system. The braces can be taken out for brushing, flossing, eating and special occasions such as weddings or pictures. Many patients are very happy after using Invisalign, which is virtually invisible once placed in the mouth. Charlotte Invisalign can be created in our offices in just a few days.
Those using Charlotte Invisalign can also better clean their teeth this way, which results in a healthier mouth. Regular braces can trap food and other debris inside the braces and between teeth and gums, making it hard to extract the food which can result in cavities or tooth decay. Depending on severity of alignment needed and length of time needed until alignment, Invisalign may take about a year. Invisalign works to correct many different types of malocclusions and in a more non-invasive manner than traditional braces, making them a perfect choice for everyone. Call Schramm Dentistry for more information on how to get Invisalign braces in your area.

At Schramm Dentistry, we create individual smiles that compliment a patient’s facial features and enhance their overall facial beauty. Our 28277 dentist office seeks to establish facial harmony where the smile is not the central focal point, but enhances the overall facial appearance. One of the ways we do that for our patients is through replacing missing teeth with dental implants.
Dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. Our dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. An implant is a new tooth made of metal and porcelain that looks just like your natural tooth. It’s composed of two main parts: One part is the titanium implant body that takes the place of the missing root, and the second part is the tooth-colored crown that is cemented on top of the implant. In addition to tooth replacement, implants may be used to anchor dentures, especially lower dentures that tend to shift when you talk or chew. For patients with removable partial dentures, implants can replace missing teeth so that you have a more natural-looking smile. With dental implants from our 28277 dentist, you will regain the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved.
Our team of 28277 dentists at Schramm Dentistry are some of the most well-respected cosmetic dentists in the area and are proud to provide care to all members of the community. We will take the time to customize and personalize the treatment for each patient. So, if like many others you feel implant dentistry is the choice for you, we ask that you undergo a dental examination and health history. During these consultation visits, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so let our dental implants ensure you leave a lasting and smiling impression.

At Schramm Dentistry, one of our most vital goals is to help you to achieve the enhanced smile that you want; one that makes you feel confident and proud to flash that smile, to talk, and to laugh without any trace of self-consciousness. Our dentist in Charlotte has several methods available to do this, but when you have multiple teeth with one or more cosmetic issues to deal with, the answer is to place dental veneers, a set of thin shells usually made out of porcelain, that will be used to go over the fronts of your teeth and for all intents and purposes eliminate the challenges that you have been facing with how your teeth look.
Do you have teeth that are poorly sized or shaped? Maybe they have gaps between them that are too big or you have some that are chipped, cracked, or discolored. In fact, under some circumstances, getting veneers form our dentist in Charlotte can be an excellent alternative to having teeth whitening done. You see, restorations such as crowns may not respond to whitening treatments, and can require the inconvenience and cost of replacing the crowns in order to get the effects you were truly looking for. But with veneers, you will have a completely white smile again, from side to side, and from top to bottom. In fact, one of the most exciting benefits of porcelain as the material for them is that it is resistant to stains. So you can enjoy a whiter smile for a lot longer, even if you are a smoker, a coffee or tea drinker, or you like one of the many foods and drinks that are known to discolor teeth.
It’s not a complicated process to get veneers. Just schedule an examination and consultation with our dentist in Charlotte to ensure that you’re a good candidate for them. Impressions will be taken and sent to the dental lab, where your veneers will be created. You will then come back for a second session, during which the veneers will be fitted, adjusted, and then bonded to your teeth permanently.
